Read/Write GUID Utility for ALi M5271

1. 5271.EXE:
5271.EXE is a utility to read and write guid when M5271 chip is on PCI card or Cardbus Card.

5271.EXE Hot Key Description:
Key (F3) - "Read GUID" item: while pressing hot key to run this item, this
utility will read GUID number from target M5253 chip.

Key (F9) - "Write GUID" item: while pressing hot key to run this item, this
utility will read data from file "serial.rom" to program
into serial ROM of the target card.
After programming information into serial ROM, the Chip_ID field
of GUID number of file "serial.rom" will be increased automatically
by 1. We will read GUID back from serial ROM and compare to the value
      to be written.

2. The format on file "serial.rom" is as following:

For example you see the following in file "serial.rom".

	10B9
	5253
	44FF
	2233
	E611
	0090
	0000
	5237
	5473

The meaning for each field are:

	10B9 <-- N/A
5253 <-- subsystem ID bit 15~0	(PCI config space offset 2Ch
bit 31~16) for 1394 controller, This field should be
modified by card vendor if they want to have their own WHQL Logo.
Otherwise just leave it there as 5253.
	44FF <-- GUID bit 15~0 (Chip_ID bit 15~0)
	2233 <-- GUID bit 31~16	(Chip_ID bit 31~16)
	E611 <-- E6: N/A
                 11: GUID bit 39~32 (Chip_ID bit 39~32)
	0090 <-- N/A
        0000 <-- N/A
5237 <-- subsystem ID bit 15~0 (PCI config space offset 2Ch
		 bit 31~16) for OHCI controller.
5473 <-- subsystem ID bit 15~0 (PCI config space offset 2Ch
		 bit 31~16) for SD controller.

In this case, Chip_ID is 11223344FF (hex).

After you press F9 hot key to program the above information
the Chip_ID 11223344FF (hex) will be written into serial ROM of target
chip. The Chip_ID data field in file "serial.rom" will be increased by
1 and changed to 1122334500 (hex) for next "Write GUID" operation.
Therefore, test engineers don't have to change the contents of file
"serial.rom" to write GUID onto chip for each test. They just need
to press F9 hot	key for each test.

Notes:
1. For the first time you run this utility, please modify Chip_ID
field of "serial.rom" to be the starting number. For example,
you have 16 cards ready to be programmed. Then modify Chip_ID
field to be "0000000000". Each time after you press F9 hot key to
program GUID, the Chip_ID field in "serial.rom" will be increased
automatically by 1. Therefore the Chip_ID of final card will be
  "000000000F".
2. Since 1394 OHCI controller card can be used as LAN card in WinXP,
each card must have its own Chip_ID. Before mass-production, you have
to run this utility to program its Chip_ID to be different value.
Otherwise, you will have IP conflict while doing LAN communication.

After programming information into serial ROM, the Chip_ID field
of GUID number of file "serial.rom" will be increased automatically
by 1. We will read GUID back from serial ROM and compare to the value
  to be written.
3. After you press hot-key F9 to Write GUID, the new GUID will take
   effect after system reset.
4. This tool supports read/write GUID when M5271 chip is on a PCI card or on a PC card.
